yoson
yoson is the realization of the singularity of opposites, and that in this unity, one can change reality. This is the one
area in empAθos life that is governed more by faith than by science, but seeks support in science. This is where
belief is the dynamic.
It must be understood that belief is a forward looking concept in empAθos culture, rather than a backward looking dogma
of religion. We do not measure the universe with faith, we hypothesize solutions to our problems with it. Therefore, we
don't accept scripture as the word of G-d simply by faith. We expect proof of such dogmas. But, we do expect solutions to
problems by faith. Our challenges are approached with faith. And, as stated above, it's through the realization of the
singularity of opposites.
yoson describes itself as opposite ends of the spectrum of reproductive genders, joined into a single word. It's not the
spectrum, the singularity of gender which we call "oni". It's specific in presenting a transitional event between opposites.
An empAθos definition of a religious concept:
Miracle: noun: 1.Events or circumstances that are unconsciously brought into being "just in time" to avert disaster, and
accomplish seemingly impossible goals. 2.Contained within the laws of physics, miracles are simply the confluence of
dissimilar and far removed circumstances or contingencies that promote a creative solution to a problem.
empAθos people believe in the miraculous, and believe that all creatures are empowered to bring about miracles. We
believe that this is not the exclusive venue of a deity, but that G-d's empowerment to bring about miracles, is our own
empowerment as well. Miracles thus become the responsibility of every person. For this reason, the desires of the
individual outweigh the collective desire of the community, and by fulfilling each individual desire, the desire of the
community is automatically fulfilled. It also means that one who does not share their desires is seen as being stingy.
We are our better angels. In past religiosity, the spiritual struggle within each individual has been anthropomorphized
into a struggle between demons and angels to exteriorize the wounds of human guilt. This realization calls for individual
responsibility, and it most certainly calls for compassion. Guilt is beside the point. Balancing disparate desires and
finding solutions to the challenges of those desires is the hard work that brings about miracles.
Why "yoson"? Why join female and male into a singular word? Why not black and white, or some other opposite? It's because
we encompass this sexuality. This is inside us, and not something that is separable.
A person who the greater non-empAθos society might call "transgendered" will tell us that there is an artificial tension
between male and female that has been exacerbated by an over extension of gender role assignment. So, if one does not feel
comfortable in the assigned role, or in aspects of it, one is placed in the torturous position of living a lie. Even in
empAθos culture, where role assignment is based upon emotional make-up instead of genital configuration, this tension
between female and male can still present discomfort within an individual's self image, if that person see in another, the
context that they feel for themselves, which is not reflected in their physical make-up. Resistance in non-empAθos
culture to redefinition of gender based roles is so extravagant that it appears entirely irrational to empAθos people.
We, rather than redefining them, ignore them, and leave personal identity entirely up to the individual.
But, of course, it's an illusion. Those diametrically opposed concepts, such as male and female, are merely expressions of
the same thing. Every male has a uterus, however small and under developed it may be. Ovaries and testicles are the same
organ with slightly different functions. Prostate gland and Skenes gland are the same gland, as are Cowpers glands and
Bartolin glands. Clitorus and penis are the same, they simply are of different sizes and names. Even the biochemicals that determine reproductive gender, testosterone and estrogen, are the same chemical, built on a steroid nucleus (perhydrocyclopentaphenanthren), save for the presence of a single hydrogen atom at a particular place on the molecule. The point being made is
that female and male are not as opposite as formerly considered. yoson, therefore, isn't out of reach, but becomes
transitional roadmap for reality change in the face of an illusion of impossibility.
Still, we are hominids. Because this male-female structure is so engrained in the hominid experience, finding unifying
balance becomes a deeply profound endeavour. So, "yoson" is a term more appropriate because it structures a deeply
experienced reality. Other dualities that are exterior to our personhoods do not carry such a profound experience.
The faith that pervades yoson presents a reality that is devoid of impossibility. Limitations are always temporary, and the
constraints of those limitations only remain as long as we allow them to remain. By drawing on the understanding that yoson
provides, belief opens the mind to new possibilities, and removes the limiting constraints by creating the confluence of
dissimilar and far removed circumstances or contingencies that promote a creative solution to a problem.
yoson begins with belief in the thing one wishes to achieve. Not simply believing that it can be done, but believing that it
is already accomplished, and living that belief. Reality is dragged along simply because the conscious understanding that
change is possible has been set in motion.
Changes first begin on a level that we define as "divine". This is a level of awareness on a deeper level than mental or
even spiritual, but it is part of every person. This is where ideas are already formed, and like ripe fruit are ours to pick.
There is no impossibility on this level since this is the level of singularity and everything is here. It's what we can
better define as a field of potentiality. If one has dice in one's hand, in the this field all faces of the dice are turned
up on the table, since potentially any side can turn-up when the dice are thrown. When the dice are thrown and come to a
stop on the table, the potentiallity is said to have collapsed, and the path through the field that has been taken is set in
reality. Only one face on each die turns-up. It becomes reality because we observe the effect. Our interpretation of what we observe defines the reality and fixes it into place.
We bring ideas from the divine, through our spiritual and mental filters and define them for physical manifestation. What we
desire already exists in the divine level. It is a potentiallity vector. To make it manifest in reality and bring about
vector collapse, we must recognize the potentially and believe enough to bring it into reality.
What follows belief is hard work to find the way to manifestation. In this also, the divine guides.
And thus, we make miracles happen.
