What to know About War in empAθos Culture
empAθos people do not take the concept of war lightly. For us it is not a thing of glory nor of honour. For us every war is an apocolypse. Every war is Armageddon. empAθos people strive for peaceful solutions to problems and seek to encourage peace and prosperity for all people, and at the expense of none.
A warning must be put forward, however, that empAθos people are not "push-overs". We seek to be generous and giving and we are a strongly forgiving lot, but we do not welcome intruders or invaders into our homes, nor into our culture. It is said that empAθos people have no need of weapons. Obliteration of an adversary does not require them, and knowing what we know, only a fool would attempt harm upon empAθos people.
That warning being given, our feelings about the violence in the world is that ninety-nine percent of it is unnecessary and preventable. The other one percent, which results from natural disastre, is an opportunity to lift hands in compassion and offer aid and hope to victims of such disastres.
Still, the violence fomented by human action is entirely preventable. Such violence creates a spiraling cycle of disastre which carries no benefit even to the victor as it requires money and resources, all in acts of distruction. The primary victims of war are not the soldiers or the military or political leaders and combatants. The primary victims are people who have nothing to do with the reasons for the conflict whatsoever. They are everyday people living only to survive.
War disrupts the productive activities of people living in the combat zone. Those people become displaced if they are not killed outright. Because they are not available to properly manage the land, and because the land becomes a combat zone, famine follows in the wake of war. Without nourishment, the people sucumb to starvation and then to disease. Finally, the populations greatly reduced, one side claims victory over another and the land, now raveged must take years, and even decades to recover, for the next war.
It's all a massive and unacceptable waste of life and resources with no profit for anyone.
empAθos people have no use for war, and see no logical reason for entering into such violent conflict.
