empAθos Traditions
The Traditional life of the empAθos people follows a basically Jewish pattern except where it is non-sequitur, due to differences that set empAθos people apart from other Jews, and other people generally. Also, as a desert people, empAθos traditions have been shapped by the harshness of that environment, so Jewish people who have developed their cultural context in an Eastern European environment (for example) are going to have a different outlook, and different ways, from that of a group who have evolved in the Sonoran Desert, from a Middle Eastern / Spanish Jewish cultural context, and have incorporated empathetic connections into their cultural landscape.
Obviously, a people who's empathic understandings have led them to ascribe little importance to dycotomyzing reproductive gender in terms of social role, will find such role definition non-sequitur to their cultural standards. Since empAθos people don't divide their social roles between males and females, but instead rely upon a more complicated, but more realistic, system of dividing roles based upon individual emotional context, they are likely to see a male / female role division as rather simplystic, and unrealistic, not to mention inefficient. However, the life cycle of an empAθos individual still follows the same basic patterns as any other Jewish community. Yearly cyclic traditions, such as the High Holy Days, and Passover, are followed as they would be in most other Jewish communities. Shabbos is still seen as the focal point of every week, and the determined day of rest. Certain life cycle traditions are observed, or at least, modified to meet the needs of the empAθos community, and the empAθos individual.
Still, to try to catalogue the many differences and similarities is beyond the scope of this forum. However, we will provide a bit of a view into the daily lives of empAθos people.
